Academic Inspiration

MYCON25 has opportunities for all of our youth to participate at various levels. Review the following activities and descriptions. Then use the form to register to participate in any of the events.

Bible Bowl
Bible Bowl is a game where teams compete over their knowledge of scripture. Teams will have the opportunity to prepare for the event using the BIBLE BOWL STUDY GUIDE. Each team may have up to four participants. If an individual does not have a team, he/she will be assigned to a team during the conference. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD BIBLE BOWL STUDY GUIDE!

 

Bible Drill
Bible Drill is a game that encourages youth to become familiar with the layout of the books of the bible. Individual participants will be given a bible. The caller will say, "Attention", at which time the participants will stand at attention. The caller will then say "Present arms", at which time the participants will raise the bible to head level. The caller will then call out a scripture to be found (i.e. "Find for me Genesis 5:11"). The participants will remain in the ready position until the caller says, "Charge"! The participants will then race to find the scripture. The first to step out and read the scripture correctly wins the round.

Spelling Bee
Participants will be given grade-level spelling word lists to practice for the Spelling Bee, which will be held during the conference. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD SPELLING BEE WORD LISTS!

Visual Art Showcase
Participants may enter a painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, design, or craft. The content of the presentation will be related to the theme. Each entry will be scored and prizes will be given to participants.

Gifts and Talent Showcase
Participants will express their gifts and talents in the categories of singing/rapping, dancing, spoken word, or oratorical expression. Each presentation will be scored and prizes will be given to participants.

Please note the following:

• Must be 12th grade or younger to participate

• All arts entries must be no more than PG rating

• Gifts & Talents must be displayed within 3 minute time limit

• Gifts & Talents Application Deadline: MONDAY, JUNE 2, 2025
